Hi there

Maybe I should be more active on this blog, but to find the time!

I am retiring at the end of August, so maybe then.  I have started teaching at my local scrapbook shop and this coming weekend, I have to do layouts for sing pages.  I have really trawled Pinterest for ideas and here are 3 that I could finish so far - 2 more to go before Wednesday night!

I have also done a Kaleidoscope layout a few years ago which I think I will add, but I can't find the album in which it is stored.  If I can find it in time, it is only one more to do!  Yippeeeeeeeeeee!

I have just finished a 'lekker' layout!

I got the idea from Let's Scrap and all of the paper and embellishments from Estony's.  The photos were taken last year during a visit to my mother's brother in Sasolburg.  My mom was the youngest of 10 children and only three of them are still alive.  The photos were taken at her brothers house and include my cousin and her husband.  To scrap such memories are always fun.

I used Fabscraps paper, Petaloo flowers and K&Company borders.  The rest of the flowers and lace are from my stash.

I have subscribed to Let's Scrap again.  I always find lots of inspiration on the site.  Thank you for all the nice work that you gals do at Let's Scrap!

My favourite scrapbook store is here in my hometown, Kempton Park.  Thank you for your friendship and good service Ester from Estony's Scrapbooking (www.estonysscrapbooking.co.za).

Scrap and Chat evenings and classes at Estony's are very special.  Ester's husband, Tony, is always there to protect us while we are scrapping (sometimes more chatting!) and he is the official coffee maker at the shop.  Love you guys!

I started scrapbooking about 6 years ago and found that I'm also creative (although I never would have tought so).  Before I started scrapbooking I thought I had no artiness in me - I mean my stickmen came out strange!

Scrapbooking has given me a way to relieve my stress and make me feel good about myself.
